We are committed to developing and nurturing our junior golfers and currently have a healthy junior section comprising boys and girls with a wide range of golfing abilities from complete novice to category one golfers.   Please see our Junior Captains here, many of whom are now active Full Playing Members.

Fun for Everyone

The Club’s belief is that junior golf should be inclusive with the opportunity for those that want to excel, to do so.  The Club prides itself on creating fun and enjoyment for everyone and welcomes juniors of all ability and experience levels to our programmes.

Coaching

Our PGA qualified coaching team of Mike Lavers, Rory Dervin and Harry Harwood are experienced in developing young golfers through their specially designed coaching programmes. It is this knowledge and a commitment to helping our juniors that makes La Moye stand out from the vast majority of clubs. Over the years a number of La Moye Juniors have gone on to represent Hampshire County, indeed one of our current junior girls is a Hampshire Girls squad member.

Throughout each year, juniors can get involved in an array of competitions and events designed to help build a golfing community and help them get as much enjoyment as possible from their Club membership.

Skills days are run periodically during school holidays throughout the year. These extremely popular days are designed to test every element of a player’s game with a variety of short game and long game challenges set in the morning followed by a handicap qualifying golf competition in the afternoon. Players can earn academy cup points by taking part in skills days and trying to improve their scores in each of the different the skills tests.

Please check the club’s calendar for upcoming dates.

Junior clinics are run on a bi-weekly basis by our coaches. The clinics are designed to develop skills in every area of the game while also focussing on elements that may have proved challenging during skills days. The clinics are kept to small groups and are split by age and ability to encourage improvement and enjoyment for both our newer and more experienced golfers.

Individual coaching sessions are also available for junior golfers, with further details available by contacting  +44 (1534) 743130 or proshop@lamoyegolfclub.co.uk
